IS CROSS STITCHING DIFFICULT?

If I can do it, you can do it too! Once you learn the 3 basic stitches used in cross stitch, you are good to go. Cross stitching is the easiest form of embroidery as the fabric itself guides the shape of your stitches. If you can count and you can hold a needle, you can cross stitch.

Each kit and pattern has a difficulty level label (1, 2 or 3 scissors) depending on number and types of stitches and colours. Refer to this legend to understand the difficulty level of the design you are looking at:

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Cross stitching, like other forms of embroidery and needle crafts, is a time-consuming hobby. Duration will vary depending on the size of the design you choose. Although these are not projects you can finish on your lunch break, you can expect to complete smaller designs in a few hours.

DO YOU OFFER GIFT WRAPPING?

At the Pigeon Coop, sustainability is a top priority. In order to reduce waste, gift wrapping is unfortunately not available. However, you can include a note for the recipient upon checkout if your order is a gift. It will be hand written on a 100% recycled greeting card.

DO YOU DO CUSTOM DESIGNS?

Unfortunately, the Pigeon Coop doesn't offer custom designs at the moment.

AM I ALLOWED TO SELL THE PIECE ONCE I AM DONE STITCHING?

Each one of the Pigeon Coop's patterns and kits is designed for personal use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, share or sell the pattern or the finished product made from it. If you see a completed piece for sale somewhere, please let me know.

Yes, of course! Handmade cross stitch pieces make for very special presents for friends, family, colleagues, teachers and anyone else.

I LIVE OUTSIDE NORTH AMERICA, CAN I STILL ORDER FROM YOU?

If you are ordering physical items, yes. Because of new legislation concerning VATs, customers outside Canada and the United States are asked to purchase digital patterns via the Pigeon Coop's Etsy page at this time.
