
Part of our Ecoregions series, this duo of cross stitch patterns features two designs: a geometric rendition of the majestic trees forming North America's boreal forest as well as a pattern featuring the silhouette of a caribou, an endangered species of the area.
This is a PDF document and does not include the supplies required to make this project. You will receive 1 PDF digital file which contains:
- Two (2) main patterns including DMC colour codes and symbols;
- Two (2) patterns showcasing black and white symbols only;
- Two (2) patterns compatible with the Pattern Keeper app;
- A photo of the finished pieces for reference;
- Stitching tips for each design.
If you want to print these patterns, please note that they are optimized for printing on letter size paper (total of 8 pages).
The Northern Forests design is 71 x 64 stitches and involves the use of 9 different colours. When stitched on 14 count Aida, it fits well into a 6" embroidery hoop. The sample in the photo was stitched on 14 count oatmeal coloured Aida (fiddler's cloth).
The Caribou design is 50 x 50 stitches and involves the use of 6 different colours. When stitched on 14 count Aida, it fits well into a 4" embroidery hoop. The sample in the photo was stitched on 14 count black Aida.
The Northern Forests pattern is made using only basic stitches. The Caribou pattern is made using basic, 3/4 and 1/4 stitches.
