This design is 56 stitches wide by 56 stitches high and involves the use of 13 different colours. When stitched on 14 count Aida fabric, it fits well into a 4" embroidery hoop. The sample was stitched on 14 count dark blue aida cloth.
It is made using basic, three-quarter and back stitches and is designed to be stitched on dark blue aida to make full use of the negative space effect for the lake. Some parts of the pattern are also designed to extend beyond the hoop to give the illusion of continuity.
